Focus and Scope

Journal of Sustainable Environmental Health and Pollution (JSEHP) is an international, peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to the study of the complex interactions between the environment and human health. As environmental challenges become increasingly global, JSEHP provides a vital forum for researchers, toxicologists, and public health officials to share evidence-based findings that inform policy and improve environmental quality. Our scope includes, but is not limited to:

  • Environmental Health and Sanitation: Clean water quality, basic sanitation, hygiene, and the management of environment-related diseases (such as waterborne and vector-borne diseases).
  • Air Quality and Respiratory Diseases: Analysis of exposure to air pollutants (both indoor and outdoor, such as PM2.5, PM10, and toxic gases) and their impact on morbidity and mortality of the human respiratory system.
  • Environmental Toxicology and Epidemiology: Studies on the bioaccumulation of hazardous chemicals, heavy metals, and pesticides, as well as the analysis of disease patterns resulting from environmental exposure.
  • Climate Change and Global Health: The impacts of global warming, extreme weather, and natural disasters on public health vulnerability, alongside efforts to adapt and strengthen health systems.
  • Occupational Health and Safety (OHS): Industrial hygiene, ergonomics, workplace hazard risk management, and the prevention of work-related diseases (WRD).
  • Waste Management and Pollution Control: Technological innovations and policy development in the management of medical, domestic, and industrial waste, as well as the control of soil and water pollution.
  • Urban Environmental Health: Urban planning, healthy housing, green infrastructure, and the impact of the built environment on mental and physical well-being.
