About the Journal
Journal of Nutrition for Planetary Sustainability focuses on publishing empirical research articles, systematic reviews, and conceptual papers that examine the interconnections between nutrition science, food systems, and environmental sustainability within a global health context.
The journal aims to serve as a platform for evidence-based knowledge dissemination to support the transformation of sustainable food systems and the improvement of population nutritional status.
Its scope includes, but is not limited to, topics such as nutrition and environmental sustainability, including sustainable diets and the environmental footprints of food consumption (e.g., carbon and water footprints); sustainable food systems covering production, distribution, consumption, as well as food security and food sovereignty; consumption behavior and food waste at individual and household levels along with related intervention strategies; public health and global nutrition issues such as malnutrition, nutrition transition, and community-based interventions; food and nutrition policy and governance including program analysis and the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); as well as innovation and technology in sustainable nutrition, including plant-based foods, alternative proteins, food processing technologies, and digital approaches within food systems.
